What is difference between Author and writer ?

An author is typically someone who has written a book or other literary work, often published and recognized as the creator of that work. On the other hand, a writer is a broader term that can refer to anyone who writes, whether it's books, articles, stories, scripts, poetry, etc. Not all writers are necessarily considered authors, but all authors are writers.
